THESIS

University of Minnesota

Project Description

While writing and designing my thesis book, I learned about why people don’t utilize gyms and how exercise can be more approachable and less intimidating through individualization. I continued my research by designing a large window display that highlighted multiple people, ages ranging from nineteen to seventy-four. I studied how these people exercise and for what reasons. Each square can be removed from the display in order to represent each individual separately from the entire spectrum of people. Exercise is a medium for expressing the importance of individualism in one’s life. In order to be successful, people must find what works for them at different stages in their lives.
